The Japanese-language site JGNN reported today that in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Dragon Quest series, Square Enix is working on an analog version of the famous role-playing franchise. The tabletop board game, Dragon Quest Dungeon R, is in fact a remake of a game by the same name that hit store shelves 16 years ago. In the game, players design their own dungeons, complete with traps, monsters, and treasure, by arranging small, 3D models on the game board. The game will debut in Japan on November 18, at a retail price of 6,090 yen, or about $52.
