Dragon Ball Z Kakarot's next DLC, A New Power Awakens - Part 2, will see the return of Frieza, one of Goku and Vegeta's worst enemies. Players dispatched Frieza in the main campaign, but he's back and shiner than ever. Just as the first Kakarot DLC adapted Dragon Ball Super's God of Destruction arc, this next DLC focuses on the Golden Frieza arc.
This DLC will give Goku and Vegeta the chance to fight Frieza and his forces using new techniques. In Super's equivalent arc, Frieza returns from the dead with a new form, and he's stronger than ever. Frieza's return was also explored in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection of F, which the longer Super arc was then adapted from. He had previously been defeated by Goku on Namek. After tracking the heroes down on Earth, Future Trunks appeared and killed him. In the world of Dragon Ball, that only means so much. We've seen nearly everyone revived at least once, often more powerful than before. It's hard to remember how many times Goku has died.

Now Playing: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Video Review
It was previously revealed that Vegeta and Goku's new attacks will make use of their increased power, and have amazing names like "Ultimate Banish" and "Ultimate Big Kamehameha".

It remains to be seen if Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will adapt later arcs from Super--the Future Trunks and Tournament of Power arcs would be pretty exciting to see--but perhaps they'll save them for a sequel, since the first game has sold so well.

A New Power Awakens - Part 2 is due to release this fall. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has been relatively well-received by Dragon Ball fans, and scored a 7/10 in GameSpot's review. " If you're looking for an enjoyable way to see the life and times of adult Goku through a new perspective, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will grant your wish," wrote reviewer Heidi Kemps.
Kakarot isn't the only Dragon Ball game to get DLC recently--Dragon Ball FighterZ has added Master Roshi to its roster, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 continues to expand.
