Following the announcement of Dragon Ball FighterZ for PC and consoles, it was mentioned by producer Tomoko Hiroki that the game could be coming to Nintendo Switch with enough demand, as the console is more than capable of running it properly. In a fresh interview, it seems like the game is indeed coming.
Speaking with Destructoid at the EVO Championships, Tomoko Hiroki suggested that there's the possibility of Dragon Ball FighterZ releasing on Switch. The team is currently focused on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which launches on Switch in two months, and will only talk about Dragon Ball FighterZ on Switch after the game is out.
On a related note, Hiroki confirmed that two new characters will be revealed this week on the new issue of V-Jump magazine. The magazine officially releases on July 21st, but it usually leaks online a few days before release, so we probably won't have to wait much longer to learn about the two new characters.
The latest character confirmed for Dragon Ball FighterZ is Trunks. A new trailer has been released recently, showing how the character will play in the game. Additionally, Bandai Namco confirmed that a closed beta will be held in the future on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Dragon Ball FighterZ launches next year on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
