Dota 2 Anime Dragon's Blood Is Now On Netflix-November 2024
Nov 2, 2024 11:31 AM

Dota 2 fans looking to dive into more of the series' lore can now head to Netflix for Dota: Dragon's Blood, an anime series based on the game that just dropped.

All eight episodes of Dragon's Blood are now available on Netflix. The series was written and developed by Ashley Edward Miller (The Twilight Zone, X-Men: First Class) in collaboration with Netflix Animation and Valve. South Korean animation house Studio Mir, the co-producers of The Legend of Korra series and the 2020 film Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge, provided the show's visuals.

In promoting the series' launch, the NX on Netflix Twitter account shared a new rendition of Swedish producer Basshunter's "DotA." The song, which first dropped in 2006 and is a remix of "Daddy DJ" by French dance duo Daddy DJ, sees Basshunter singing about playing Dota 2. In between scenes of him playing the game are sequences from Dragon's Blood while others watch pieces of the show.

In conjuction with Dragon's Blood landing on Netflix, creator Valve issued a new Dota 2 update to make the game friendlier to newer players. Some tweaks to the game include reducing the hero pool for beginners and a new tooltip character.
