Last week's announcement of the Nintendo Switch of DOOM was definitely surprising, considering the console isn't as powerful as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Still, it seems like those purchasing this version of the game will still be getting a nice visual experience.
Earlier today, Nintendo World Report shared new DOOM off-screen gameplay footage, showing how the game runs on the Nintendo Switch while the console is undocked. Despite the lower frame rate, the game seems to hold up well to the other console versions, with frame rate drops only when the action gets intense. The game may run at only 30 FPS, but it's still impressive to see a game like DOOM running decently on a handheld.
The Nintendo Switch version of DOOM will retain most of the features found in the PC and PS4, Xbox One releases. The game will also include all DLC packs.
