DOOM New Video Shows The Game Running At 4K Resolution On Nightmare Settings-September 2024
Sep 22, 2024 4:46 AM

DOOM has finally launched in all regions and on all formats last week, and players all over the world have noted how great the game looks on consoles and PC. The PC version, obviously, has the edge in this matter, and today a new video showing how the game looks at 4K resolution has been shared online.

The new DOOM video, which can be watched right below, showcases the game running at 4K resolution on Nightmare settings, which is one of the highest graphics settings available. The machine used to run the game and capture the video features an i7 4790K at 4.0GHz, an ASUS 980Ti Strix OC 6GBs, 16GBs of DDR3 at 1600MHz, Windows 10 64 bit and 365.19.

Speaking of 4K resolution, id Software's Lead Rendered Programmer Tago Sousa shared last week a tip which can bring performance improvements. He also confirmed that the game will be getting official SLI support soon, as the game currently has an issue with shadows limiting SLI scaling. Even like this, though, it's been reported that the game already runs nicely with SLI enabled.

SLI support isn't the only feature id Software is planning to DOOM in the near future. The team is currently working to add Vulkan support, which has already been shown last week in a couple of new videos.

DOOM is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We will keep you updated on any new feature coming to the game as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news on id Software's latest first person shooter.
