As first reported by weekly Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has confirmed that Namco is currently working on a rhythm action game for the GameCube titled Donkey Konga. Currently scheduled for release in Japan in spring 2004, the game will be played using a bongo-drum-style controller currently known simply as the Nintendo GameCube Conga Drum.
Further information on Donkey Konga is scarce at present, but we'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
