Using a second-generation version of the Gex 2 engine for the PlayStation, Crystal Dynamics has created Akuji the Heartless, a free roaming 3D action game. Focusing on the darker side of things, Akuji's story begins with him getting killed by his evil, voodoo-practicing brother who wants to steal away Akuji's bride. Banished to hell, Akuji fights his way through hell to avenge his death.
