The TV spin-off to the 2018 film Love, Simon was originally set to stream on Disney Plus, but has since been moved to Hulu (which is also owned by Disney). Along with the bump from Disney Plus, the show is being retitled as Love, Victor--which makes sense as the new main character is named Victor. Simon was the main character of the film.
Love, Simon premiered at the Mardi Gras Film Festival back in February 2018 and was praised by critics for its “big heart, diverse and talented cast, and revolutionary normalcy”. After the positive response to the film, the television series was greenlit, intending to run in the same universe but with a new main character called Victor, who comes out to Simon and goes through his own challenges.

Now Playing: Best Things To Stream For February 2020 - Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Shudder
According to Variety, unnamed sources have noted that Disney had felt that many issues explored on the show, including the normal teenage drinking and sexual exploration that is common for these kinds of shows, would not fit in with the other family-friendly content on Disney Plus.
Instead of premiering on Disney Plus, the show will be streaming on Hulu in June. This makes sense for Hulu as June is Pride Month. How exactly this will affect streaming the show elsewhere in the world is unclear.
Elsewhere in the Disney corporation, the company recently changed CEOs, switching out one Bob for another.
