Earlier this week, DIRT Rally has officially been released on PC (via Steam) after a period of Early Access. Codemasters also announced the release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: the game will be available for consoles on April 5, 2016.
Darren Hayward, Senior Games Designer at Codemasters, revealed some details via Twitter regarding the console versions of DIRT Rally. Specifically, he confirmed that the team is targeting 60FPS for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

This makes sense, as a frame rate of 60FPS is very important for any racing game. Even more so for a challenging title like DIRT Rally, where the smallest mistake can ruin your race.
As for the resolution, Hayward wasn't able to confirm anything yet other than that they'll try to get it as high as possible while keeping their frame rate target.
@superTurk00 Unsure yet. High as we can get it with 60fps.

If history has taught us anything in this generation, we may end up with 1080P@60FPS on PlayStation 4 and 900P@60FPS on Xbox One. Obviously, Codemasters could surprise us and get Microsoft's version to FullHD as well.
Either way, DIRT Rally is probably the best racing game produced by Codemasters in the last few years and you should probably get it wherever possible. Check back soon for our own review of the title.
