The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences has announced a list of initial sponsors for the upcoming D.I.C.E. summit. Sony, Nintendo, Electronic Arts, Infogrames, and Insomniac Games, among others, will sponsor the event, which aims to bring together industry leaders to discuss and cultivate innovation in video games. The event is scheduled for February 28 through March 1 and will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, in conjunction with the Fifth Annual Interactive Achievement Awards.
"Electronic Arts supports D.I.C.E. because it is unique in providing an intimate setting with industry leaders where the interactive community can focus exclusively on creative issues," said Richard Hilleman, vice president and executive producer at Electronic Arts. "Everyone attending D.I.C.E. will walk away with valuable information about the process of making a great game."
Scheduled speakers include Sid Meier, chairman and director of creative development at Firaxis Games; Bruno Bonnell, CEO of Infogrames; Larry Probst, CEO of Electronic Arts; Brian Farrell, CEO of THQ; Will Wright, chief designer at Maxis; and Jason Rubin, president and cofounder of Naughty Dog.
