Diablo IV Beta Feedback Update To Come In A Couple Of Weeks; Next Developer Stream Is Coming In April-October 2024
Oct 27, 2024 6:30 PM

Last weekend, players all over the world were finally able to try out Diablo IV before its release in June thanks to its open beta, which was generally well-received. However, not everything was perfect, and all participants were encouraged to leave feedback.

As the amount of fan feedback has surely been massive, the development team requires some time before it can provide an update on it. Blizzard's Rod Fergusson confirmed such an update will be coming in a couple of weeks, alongside confirmation on what the developer will address before the game launches.

PSA: We're going through all of your feedback and will have an update in a couple of weeks about what we heard and what we're addressing. Thanks for helping to test the Beta and your patience as we worked through issues. #DiabloIV #Grateful pic.twitter.com/iMWZwtJ7uo

Thankfully, according to Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher, it won't take long to see more of Diablo IV, as a new developer update stream will be coming in April. Alongside a special guest, members of the development team will discuss progression and endgame systems, and possibly some beta learnings.

Getting a lot of questions about next developer update stream. That will be in April. We will have a special guest!

Last dev stream we mentioned that our next topic will be progression/endgame systems in #DiabloIV. We expect to also chat about some beta learnings.

The Diablo IV open beta did not just let players on PC and consoles try out the game but also make some discoveries by looking at its files. According to dataminers, the next entry in the series by Blizzard will be the second PC game to support Microsoft DirectStorage after Square Enix's Forspoken. The development team has yet to announce anything in this regard, so we do not know if this will indeed be the case. What Diablo IV will support on PC is NVIDIA DLSS3, which will allow owners of an RTX 4000 series GPU to enjoy high framerates with little impact on visuals, and ray tracing, although the latter will only come sometime after launch.

Diablo IV will launch on June 6th on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One. You can learn more about the now-ended closed beta by checking out Alessio's preview, where he praised both gameplay and PC performance.
