Diablo IV April 20th Livestream To Feature A “Secret” Announcement-October 2024
Oct 30, 2024 3:34 AM

More information on Diablo IV, the new entry in the popular series by Blizzard launching this June on PC and consoles, will be coming tomorrow, alongside what has been defined by the man that is currently overseeing the development of the entire series.

Tomorrow April 20th, a new developer livestream featuring community director Adam Fletcher alongside designer Joe Shely, assistant game director Joesph Piepiora and streamer Rhykker will provide new information on the Diablo IV endgame as well as on classes, dungeons, and what the team learned from the beta. Shortly after the announcement of the livestream, Rod Fergusson teased that this livestream will also feature some sort of secret announcement. As the game is right around the corner, and the developer has talked at length about its features, it will be very interesting to see what exactly is getting announced tomorrow.

Wait, wait, wait... @PezRadar is this the one with the secret announcement or are we not talking about that yet? I would hate to give it away.

BTW so glad I'm using Slack right now and not something public like Twitter to ask that. That would be the worst. https://t.co/rlJM27Rlmg

What is definitely not getting announced tomorrow is a delay, as Diablo IV went gold last week. Going gold is not a complete guarantee that the game won't be delayed, as Cyberpunk 2077 proved when it got a last-minute delay after going gold, but still, the chances of this happening with the fourth entry in the series by Blizzard seem rather slim.

Last month, players all over the world had the chance to try out Diablo IV with an extremely successful open beta. After gathering feedback, the development team confirmed some of the changes that will be introduced in the final version of the game, such as improved and optimized dungeons layouts to avoid excessive backtracking, rebalanced boss difficulty for melee characters, and tweaks for several classes.

Diablo IV will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One on June 6th.
