Diablo III's endgame sparse in content - Blizzard
Diablo III's endgame sparse in content - Blizzard-November 2024
Nov 14, 2024 5:02 AM

Blizzard has responded to criticism regarding the lack of content in Diablo III, particularly in the game's fourth and final act on Inferno difficulty.

Loot-wise, the game's fourth act may not be sustainable in the long run, said community manager Bashiok. On the official forums, Diablo III community manager Micah "Bashiok" Whiple posted that the endgame is not sustainable from a long-term perspective.

"We aren't going to be able to pump out tons of new systems and content every couple of months. There needs to be something else that keeps people engaged, and we know it's not there right now."

Whiple said that the publisher is working on a number of major fixes and changes for the upcoming 1.0.4 patch, as well as player-versus-player arenas for 1.1.

"I think both those patches will do a lot to give people things to do and get them excited about playing, but they’re not going to be a real end-game solution; at least, not what we would expect out of a proper end-game. We have some ideas for progression systems, but honestly, it’s a huge feature if we want to try to do it right, and not something we could envision being possible until well after 1.1, which itself is still a ways out."

Diablo III will be one of the games showcased at the upcoming Gamescom event this year in Cologne, Germany. Blizzard recently offered refunds to South Korean Diablo III players up to level 40 due to login problems and slow connections.
