Capcom has divulged that Devil May Cry 5's Vergil will be playable in not only the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Series S versions of the upgraded game, but PS4 and Xbox One owners will be able to harness his power through DLC.
At last week's Tokyo Game Show, producer Matt Walker and director Hideaki Itsuno revealed that Vergil will be available as paid DLC "at a later date" in the standard edition of Devil May Cry 5. While Vergil may be confirmed for those older consoles, many of the next-gen features that Capcom has added won't be present due to technical limitations.

Now Playing: Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition Reveal Trailer| PS5 Showcase
Announced during the last PS5 Showcase, Dante's rogue brother is one of several new additions that'll be arriving in Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. On PS5, players can enjoy an optional 120 FPS mode across the main campaign and new game modes.
Ray tracing features are also being added, but these specific graphical upgrades won't be available in the new Turbo and Legendary Dark Knight Modes. DMC5: Special Edition launches digitally on Xbox Series X/S on November 10 and PS5 on November 12.
PC players won't be receiving any of the new next-gen console features, but they can purchase the Vergil DLC for $5 when it eventually arrives.
