The video above showcases each of these, the most exciting of which are three new legendary swords (each covering one of the three elemental damage types) and two emotes. The full list follows below.
Infinite Link (shader)Sign of the Infinite (emblem)Elemental Kindblades (three legendary swords)EV-34 Vector Infinite (sparrow)Duo Dance (emote)High Five (emote)These rewards can be earned through a new quest, The Hunt for Loot. This will first require you to refer someone to the game, a process which means you both have to be playing on the same platform--either Xbox One or PS4. (Xbox 360 and PS3 don't support the feature.)
Bungie has published an in-depth FAQ and walkthrough for how this all works, as there are somewhat complex rules dictating how the system handles things. Links are formed between players through Bungie's website, and requires the newcomer to The Taken King to follow a referral link. That person can then only be linked with that existing Taken King player, even if the link is canceled. A link doesn't need to be established before the player logs into The Taken King; there's a grace period of one week after purchase where that person qualifies.
Destiny recently got its big November update, with another one slated for release in December. The latter will introduce new Exotic items and rebalance weapon types.
