Bungie recently announced a new Destiny 2 event, known as a Community Challenge, that has now arrived. Alongside the release of a new Destiny 2 update, this event tasks the game's entire playerbase to collectively work toward a number of goals in certain Mars-based activities (namely Escalation Protocol). Guardians can now head to Mars to begin taking part in the continued war against the Hive. According to a Bungie blog post, September's challenges are a good opportunity to prepare for Shadowkeep, where players will return to the Moon to fight the Hive.
On Mars, Guardians will need to join forces to complete a Community Objective, which went live earlier today, on September 3. This coincided with the aforementioned a quality-of-life patch that, among other things, impacts the Mars content to make some of the planet's weapons more obtainable.
