Destiny 2’s big Year 2 expansion, Forsaken, kicks off next week, and Bungie has unleashed a dramatic launch trailer to get fans hyped. Bungie is promising Forsaken will have a Western revenge vibe, and now we know why – it seems Cayde-6, one of the few Destiny 2 characters players actually care about, will bite the bullet courtesy of the villainous Awoken, Uldren Sov. Check out the launch trailer, below,
Bungie will be releasing Forsaken content over the span of a year. Things kick off with the free Season of the Outlaw campaign, and further content will be divided between free seasonal updates and paid Annual Pass content. Here’s the full Destiny 2: Forsaken roadmap (click the image for full resolution).
Bungie has also dropped a new Destiny 2 patch prior to the launch of Forsaken. This one includes a lot of tweaks, including changes to weapon slots, mods, the economy, and more. Check out the full Destiny 2 update 2.0 notes, below:

Developer Insight: With Forsaken, we've made a major change to Destiny 2 systems—the freedom to slot powerful weapons in either the Kinetic slot or Energy slot. This fundamental change necessitated a fresh look at a player’s damage output in both PvE and PvP.
