Flight simulator fans are only 13 MB away from getting their hands on the Alpha Technology Release of Dynamix's World War II sim, Desert Fighters. The ATR features three aircraft and can only be played through Sierra's WON.net online gaming service.
Much like id Software's test releases, the ATR isn't an official demo but rather a means for Dynamix to get player feedback in order to fine tune the game's graphics and multiplayer code. "Users of the ATR are encouraged to fill out performance reports available online", commented Dynamix marketing manager Phil Cowles. "And those who do participate with us on an on-going basis, providing precise details regarding the performance of the ATR, may even be invited to join our Desert Fighters beta testing group."
Sierra is set to publish Desert Fighters this October.
