Infogrames announced on Tuesday that its demolition derby-style racing game, Demolition Racer, will begin shipping this week for the Sony PlayStation. Developed by the Pitbull Syndicate, the Demolition Racer team includes some of the core members who created the highly successful Destruction Derby 1 and 2 games.
Demolition Racer lets players participate in action-packed races with 16 cars competing against each other on one of ten tracks. Set in unique environments, the game's tracks include an aircraft carrier, a chemical plant, and a parking garage. Most of the tracks offer players the chance to take alternate pathways or shortcuts. The game supports the PlayStation analog and Dual Shock controllers. The estimated retail price for Demolition Racer is US$44.99.
