Following a delay, Deathloop is now scheduled to release for PlayStation 5 and PC on May 21. Both the standard and Deluxe editions are now available for preorder.
A PlayStation 5 console exclusive, Deathloop is not priced at the $70 USD seen for a few other PS5 titles, like the Demon's Souls remake. Instead, the standard edition costs $60 USD / £60, while the Deluxe Edition is $80 USD / £80.

Now Playing: How Deathloop’s Multiplayer Works
You can currently preorder Deathloop through the PS5 Store or Bethesda.net Launcher. According to a blog post, Steam preorders "will be available soon."
If you do decide to order Deathloop ahead of release, you'll get a few in-game goodies. The standard edition comes with a skin for protagonist Colt and an equippable buff--you'll also get a unique weapon if you preorder for PS5. You'll get the same for preordering the Deluxe Edition, which also includes an additional skin for Colt, one for playable antagonist Julianna, two equippable buffs, several unique weapons, and selections from the game's original soundtrack.
Developed by Arkane, the studio behind games like Dishonored 2 and Prey, Deathloop is a time loop-based take on the immersive sim genre. You play as Colt, a man stuck in a time loop, and the only way out is to kill all your targets before the loop resets. The problem, of course, is having enough time. So you'll need to learn the patterns of your targets and discover ways to disrupt or influence them in order to kill all of them in a single loop. It's not easy sailing though--Julianna is trying to stop you. She can either be an intelligent NPC-controlled antagonist or a player-controlled one.
Given Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax Media, parent company to Arkane, it's possible that Deathloop could eventually make it's way to Xbox Series X|S or Xbox Game Pass for PC as well. But we'll see.
