Death Stranding Plot Is So Elaborate That Madds Mikkelsen Got Lost; Actor Is Impressed With What Kojima Is Doing-October 2024

Death Stranding, the game currently in development by Kojima Productions, is definitely one of the more interesting games launching on PlayStation 4 in the future, being the first game outside the Metal Gear franchise directed by Hideo Kojima in quite some time. Not much is currently known about the game, but it seems like fans of the Japanese game director will be in for something very interesting.

Speaking at the Saudi Comic Con in Jeddah, actor Mads Mikkelsen, who's involved in Death Stranding, talked about his meeting with Hideo Kojima, revealing that the game's director tried to tell him the game's plot, but it was so elaborate that he got lost. At the same time, he's interested in it and wants to learn more about it.

Mads Mikkelsen also talked about the new Kojima Productions studio, revealing how he has been impressed by what Kojima and his team are doing in their Tokyo office.

Mads Mikkelsen isn't the only one collaborating with Hideo Kojima for Death Stranding. Guillermo Del Toro is also involved on a deep level.

We worked on a different project together [the cancelled Silent Hill reboot] and he was pretty sad that it ended. So I asked him whether he want to come on board, and now we’re actually collaborating on a deep level because we’re developing his character together and talk a ton about ideas and inspirations, camera angles and storytelling. It went the same way with Mads [Mikkelsen, who plays Galen Erso in Star Wars: Rogue One], who plays the main villain in Death Stranding.

Death Stranding will launch on a yet to be confirmed release date on PlayStation 4, with a PC version releasing sometime after it.
