Australia's inconsistent classification system has made guessing what the next game will be to get banned almost a hobby for some, with Dead Rising 2 being a bookie favourite up until last week. Luckily, the game has made it through the classification process unedited. Following on from that news, THQ (Capcom's Aussie distributor) has today detailed that the collector's edition of the game would be coming down under in limited quantities.
Only 700 units of the Dead Rising 2 Outbreak Edition will be available across Australia for each platform. The bundle contains a 12-inch action figure, a copy of the game, a making-of DVD, an in-game costume, and a printed guide to making your own weapons. PlayStation 3 owners will also be treated to a unique PlayStation theme for their console, while Xbox 360 owners receive the Dead Rising Sun feature-length movie, which was directed by producer Keiji Inafune.
Finally, zombies and Servbot are available in the same package! The Dead Rising 2 Outbreak Edition will be available at GAME, JB Hi-fi, and EB Games stores around the country for A$169.95, A$50 more than the standard edition. No Australian release date has been set for Dead Rising 2 so far. Stay tuned to GameSpot AU for updates on this zombie slayer.
