Dead Island sequel hitting consoles and PC
Dead Island sequel hitting consoles and PC-April 2024
Apr 1, 2025 12:14 AM

The Dead Island zombie uprising hasn't been quelled yet. Publisher Deep Silver today announced Dead Island Riptide. The project is currently in development at Techland and is slated to arrive on consoles and PC. Dead Island Riptide is on the way.

The company gave no further details on Dead Island Riptide, but Deep Silver said it is planning an "extensive reveal" of the project for sometime this summer. Last month, Deep Silver denied a report suggesting Spec Ops: The Line developer Yager was at work on a Dead Island sequel.

The original Dead Island was developed by Techland and shipped in September 2011 to generally positive review scores. The game shipped 3 million copies and welcomed various add-on packs. Speculation about a follow-up sparked in November, when Techland filed a trademark application for Dead World.
