The latest Dead by Daylight Killer has been revealed, and it’s a big and small update at the same time. Yes, Montreal-based developer Behaviour Interactive has, improbably, figured out how to add the not-so-cuddly deadly doll Chucky to the game. But how’s a 2-foot-tall Killer going to work exactly? Well, for starters, Chucky is the first Killer to use a third-person, rather than first-person, camera. Players will also be able to dress their murderous doll up in various costumes, including one that will transform Chucky into Tiffany from Bride of Chucky.
You can check out a quick teaser trailer for Chucky below, featuring the character’s original voice actor, Brad Dourif.
Need to know more? Here’s a rundown of Chucky’s perks…
Hex: Two Can Play - Blinds any Survivor that dares to stun or blind you. It might be wise to pair this one with another Hex Perk, perhaps encouraging Survivors to attempt a Cleanse... only to be swiftly stabbed by your trusty knife. Friends ‘Til The End - When you hook a Survivor that is not the Obsession, the Obsession will become exposed and briefly reveal their aura. When you hook the Obsession, a random Survivor will scream and become the Obsession. Batteries Included – This one’s meant to capitalize on a Survivor’s success and turn their hope into pain. Whenever a Generator is complete, entering its vicinity will grant you a movement speed boost for as long as you remain in range. Picture this – you know Survivors are about to finish a Generator, but you’re just out of reach. Now, you’ll be able to catch up to fleeing Survivors and down them before they can get to a potentially safe loop. Now that we’ve officially opened up Dead for Daylight to puppet killers, it’s a whole new world. The Saw puppet, Megan, the Gremlins, uh, the Ghoulies… let’s go. It’s all in play.
Dead by Daylight can be played on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Switch, and mobile device. Chucky scampers into the Fog on November 28. Excited to try him out? What doll-sized killer should Behaviour add to the game next?
