Fighting Force 2 was first game announced for the Dreamcast earlier this year, when the PlayStation and PC versions were unveiled. However, shortly after its announcement, Eidos decided to un-announce the game. And although the company didn't say the Dreamcast versions had been cancelled, it simply took it off the "in development" status. Confusing? Definitely, especially when company insiders admitted that it was being worked on along with the other versions.
Only recently was it made official that the game was going to be released on the Dreamcast this year - Eidos planted ads in the recent issues of such magazines as Electronic Gaming Monthly (see September issue) that featured the Dreamcast logo on them.
Eidos gave us a demonstration of Fighting Force 2 on the Dreamcast at Sega's Gamer's Day on Monday, and being the kind folks we are, we've put together a video showcasing a portion of what we saw. For new screens of the game in action, also check our recent preview of the Dreamcast version.
