Dave Bautista will seemingly appear in the next movie from acclaimed director M. Night Shyamalan. Deadline reports that Bautista is "in negotiations" to play a lead role in the film, Knock at the Cabin.
Shyamalan is writing and directing the movie, which opens on February 3, 2023. Plot details for Shyamalan's next movie after Old are under wraps for now.
"Shyamalan has always like to have one or two big movie stars anchoring his films--like Bruce Willis, Mark Wahlberg, and James McAvoy--and given his track record of great scripts stars are always lining up. Bautista was quick to jump at the opportunity to work with the Oscar-nominated director," Deadline reported.
Shyamalan seemingly confirmed the casting news in a tweet. "My new friend Dave Bautista you have shown strength not in the obvious ways but in choosing risky roles and making yourself vulnerable. I can not wait for you to come to Philly. Knock knock…" he said.
Bautista retweeted the story, too.

Bautista is staying very busy. He starred in Dune and Army of the Dead this year, while he recently finished filming Knives Out 2. He's also set to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Dune 2. Outside of those projects, Bautista will play a lead role in an action movie with Jason Momoa.
Bautista has also petitioned to play Marcus Fenix in the Gears of War movie, but whether or not that happens remains to be seen.
