Despite having a great atmosphere, Dark Souls III, the third entry in the popular series developed by FromSoftware, is far from being the best-looking game released during the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One generation. With modern technology such as Unreal Engine 5, however, the game's amazing visual design can truly shine, as showcased in a brand new video.
YouTube user Jonx0r shared a new video showcasing their Unreal Engine 5 port of the popular action role-playing game. The video showcases three early game locations - the Cemetery of Ash, Iudex Gundyr's Arena, and the Firelink Shrine - which have never looked better.
This project is simply a personal learning exercise. I'm learning Unreal Engine at the moment and figured a good way to familiarize myself with the ins and outs of this game engine would be to start porting Dark Souls III to Unreal Engine 5.
