IGN was able to snag 13 absolutely beautiful minutes of Dark Souls 3 gameplay at PAX Prime. Obviously there's a lot of the expected gore, and certainly whomever is playing is dying quite often.
One thing that's immediately noticeable, however, is that the dip in framerate due to the increase in scene complexity can make character animations take much longer while the enemy does not take as long, therefore the combat can be quite frustrating due to those delays. Your actions don't seem to always respond when desired. This however is not the final build, so keep that in mind.
Overall, though, the graphics look quite good for being on the Xbox One and likely being at 900p. It remains to be seen just what the final game will be like, as of course graphical settings could be tweaked to provide a better overall experience.
In Dark Souls 3, you'll travel across a wide variety of locations in an interconnected world of unrelenting challenge and deep RPG gameplay as they search for a way to survive the coming apocalypse. Be prepared for grueling boss battles, challenging combat and near impossible tasks along the way.
