Daniel Craig Broke Dave Bautista's Nose And Ran Away On The Set Of Spectre-November 2024
Nov 15, 2024 11:05 PM

Being a secret agent can be a harrowing experience, even for someone as practiced as James Bond actor Daniel Craig. During an interview with The Graham Norton Show to promote the upcoming film No Time To Die, the actor recalled one of his less-than-heroic on-set moments during the filming of 2015's Spectre, IndieWire reports.

The scene in question was the fight between Bond and Mr. Hinx, a brutal assassin played by Dave Bautista. "I threw a punch and hit him on the nose," Craig recalled. "I heard this crack and was like 'oh god, no' and ran away."

Being intimidated by Bautista is definitely understandable, especially given his character's penchant for gouging people's eyes out--you know, real Bond villain stuff. Thankfully, however, the actor himself is nothing like his frequently terrifying characters. "I thought he was going to come after me," Craig continued, "but he was so sweet. He's a lot tougher than I am, I'll give him that."

Later on, Bautista got to return the favor when he accidentally injured Craig's knee during a stunt in which Bond was thrown against the wall by Mr. Hinx. "I ended up on the wall but my knee was over here somewhere," Craig explained. "It was horrible because if anyone's had a serious injury, you just know that something is really wrong."

Thankfully, these injuries are well healed by now, and in time for Craig's final Bond film, No Time To Die, which hits theaters on October 8.
