Daisy Ridley, who played Rey in the latest Star Wars movie trilogy, is coming back to play that role again in a future Star Wars film. Speaking about this movie, Ridley told Collider, "It's not what I expected, but I'm very excited."

　　She said she originally had no interest in coming back for another Star Wars movie movie, but she ultimately agreed to, and said it was "such a nice reception" to appear at Star Wars Celebration for the unveiling.

　　"I was sh*tting myself before I went on stage, because no one knew I was going to that. No one knew I was going to Celebration, bar like Kathy [Kennedy] and there were a couple of people. I was so nervous. Oh my God. It was such a wonderful reception. I'm very excited," she said.

　　Ridley said the story for the movie that she's been informed about is "really cool," but she hasn't actually read a script yet. She said she knows the storyline for "one film" but isn't sure if that's the extent or if there will be additional Star Wars movies with Rey.

　　Ridley's Star Wars movie is one of many in the works. Taika Waititi continues to develop his own Star Wars film, while James Mangold is making a Star Wars movie, too.

　　2019's The Rise of Skywalker is the latest entry in the Star Wars movie series. Beyond film, there are more Star Wars TV shows in the works, including The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew.
