The Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion introduces a brand new location called Dogtown which can look even better than it does in the vanilla release with the proper mods, as highlighted in a new video shared online today.
The new 4K resolution video, which was put together by Digital Dreams, focuses on the new location introduced by Phantom Liberty, showing how gorgeous it looks with path tracing and over 100 mods. Performance obviously takes a hit even on an RTX 4090 GPU, but it is undeniable these mods and path tracing make the game developed by CD Projekt Red and its expansion even more one of the best-looking games ever released.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty's Dogtown looking better than Night City comes as no surprise, as the expansion was only released on PC and current-generation consoles, allowing the developer to push visual boundaries further. Even without the better visuals, however, the expansion is a more than worthy purchase for all those who loved their time in Night City, as highlighted by Alessio in his review.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty builds upon what was an already great game to deliver more fantastic storytelling (with a spy thriller theme, this time around), exciting combat, and very high-quality side content. The perk tree overhaul is a major improvement to progression, and additions like vehicle combat and the overhauled police system are very welcome, albeit not game-changing. If you've been holding out on Cyberpunk 2077 until now, you'll find a huge game with over 120 hours of quality content and an incredibly immersive game world to literally lose yourself in.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S worldwide. The Phantom Liberty expansion is available on PC and current generation consoles.
