CD Projekt Red is hard at work on Cyberpunk 2077, but very little is currently known about the game. During today's fiscal year 2017 financial presentation, president Adam Kiciński spoke a little about the game, saying something that seems to fuel the cross-gen release rumors we have heard recently.
During the presentation, Adam Kiciński confirmed that what the team will show at this year's E3 will be announced right before the event. He also wanted to avoid talking about Cyberpunk 2077, but ended up talking about it anyway.
According to CD Projekt President, Cyberpunk 2077 is technologically quite advanced and it's being developed in a way that it can take advantage of future, more powerful hardware. He also confirmed that character creation and multiple classes will be in, and that the team is focusing on developing a story-driven RPG in the vein of The Witcher 3, and that multiplayer may be considered, as they want to add online features to their titles.
Back in January, we have heard that the game will indeed be shown at this year's E3 and that a demo is going to be shown to the press behind closed doors.
We obtained information about the plan to present the game at the most important industry event independently from two different sources and in both cases we can not disclose where they came from. We immediately reserve that such revelations must always be treated with an appropriate distance. Until CD Projekt RED officially announces that Cyberpunk 2077 will appear at E3, there is absolutely no certainty that this will happen. We strongly believe, however, that the above speculations will be confirmed.
Cyberpunk 2077 launches on a yet to be confirmed release date. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
