Actor Cole Sprouse has reached a deal with John Wick studio Lionsgate to develop a new film for the company. Sprouse confirmed the deal to Deadline and said he's grateful for the "confidence and belief" from the higher-ups at Lionsgate.
"Lionsgate has been incredibly receptive to what I want to accomplish as a young filmmaker, and I'm comforted to be teaming up with a group of like-minded creatives as we navigate those waters," he said.
Sprouse has been in business with Lionsgate before, as his 2019 movie Five Feet Apart was distributed by the company. The movie had a budget of $7 million and made $91.5 million globally, so it's no surprise to see Sprouse and Lionsgate stay in business. His latest movie for the studio is Under Cover; Sprouse stars alongside Zachary Levi.
Sprouse got his start in the movie business in a big way--starring alongside Adam Sandler in Big Daddy back in 1999 with his twin brother Cole Sprouse. Cole Sprouse also had a recurring role on Friends and he went on to star on a series of Disney Channel shows, including The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Currently, he stars on the CW's Riverdale.
