Magic The Gathering: Arena might look terrifying to get into, especially with the fact that it's a digital Trading Card Game without any actual trading, but you can get a lot of free packs if you know what you're doing. Through promotional codes that are supplied directly by Wizards of the Coast themselves, you can get numerous packs from numerous different sets and really get a taste of individual decks. These packs cost absolutely nothing and are perfect for putting together a deck without sinking hundreds of dollars into an online simulator.

In order to redeem codes in Magic The Gathering: Arena, you need to go to the Store tab of the game. Click Redeem Code and just enter one of the codes that we've listed below. It's worth noting that some of these codes may expire over time, but as far as we're currently aware there's no officially listed expiration date for the codes.
Also, make sure you type them in correctly. Use the correct capitalization and use the correct formatting, you might not get the packs that you want.
There's been a change in how free packs are given to players. The developers of Magic The Gathering: Arena now send digital mail to all players, giving them access to the free packs and cosmetics without having to redeem codes. These above codes will still work, but future sets will have their packs given out through this method, instead.
Yes! If you buy a starter set, such as the Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth starter set, you actually get two cards that have codes on them for redemption in MTG: Arena. You can give one of these codes to a friend, and the other code you can redeem yourself to unlock all of the cards contained within that deck.
