Coast add LOD and Cris
Coast add LOD and Cris-October 2024
Oct 25, 2024 4:21 AM

This article was originally published on GameSpot's sister site onGamers.com, which was dedicated to esports coverage.

Only two remain from the original Coast line-up - Santorin and Mash (first and second from right to left).Less than a month ago, we reported the rather controversial change within Coast's line-up as Korean high level players Miracle and Ringer were brought in. The duo replaced goldenglue and Rhux in hopes of giving the team a better chance in the Promotion/Relegation match against EG. Today, the rebuilding process around Coast continues with full force.

Leaving the defeat to Evil Geniuses behind them, the team has added Ben 'LOD' DeMunck in the mid lane and veteran Cristian 'Cris' Rosales on top as starters.

We are very excited to add LOD and Cris to an already strong line-up. LOD is a rising star at his position with strong mechanics, a tireless work ethic, and very good in-game leadership skills. Because he is only 17-years-old, we believe LOD has a great deal of upside potential to grow with the team. Cris is a very nice fit for our line-up. His style of play and champion pool synergizes extremely well. During our practices, Cris has consistently shown his ability to win lane, and uses his strong team fighting skills to remain relevant throughout our games.

  - Coast Owner, David Slan on the new additions

With both coming from Curse owned brands - Team LoLPRO and Curse Academy respectively, Curse owner, Steve 'Liquid112' Archancet, also expressed his satisfaction with the deal. In addition, he gave a bit of insight on the future of the squads.

These roster changes should be mutually beneficial for both the players and the organizations. Curse will be moving Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell to Curse Academy, and rebuilding LoL Pro with new young talent.

Jamie 'Sheep' Gallagher has confirmed on Twitter that he is not a part of Team Coast anymore. The Canadian was silent when asked about his competitive future, but did reassure his supporters that "something is in the works".

@brayllcs no, I'm not. Can't reveal anything yet. Have something in the works.

With four out of five players secured, Team Coast continues their search for a support player. The team has a secured quarter-final spot in the Expansion tournament which is set to begin in November. The two finalists in the event will receive an LCS spot. The Coast line-up is as follows:
