Cloud 9 pulls out of The Summit's North American qualifier
Cloud 9 pulls out of The Summit's North American qualifier-November 2024

This article was originally published on GameSpot's sister site onGamers.com, which was dedicated to esports coverage.

Cloud 9, who recently received a direct invitation to the fourth annual The International event will not be able to compete in Beyond the Summit's The Summit tournament due to the continued visa-woes of their player bOne7. The visa issues that have plagued the Romanian offlaner occured after the current Cloud 9 team was under contract of the Speed Gaming organisation, who filed incorrect paperwork for Pitner and subsequently left him unable to enter North America.

This has affected Cloud 9 on a number of occasions, as bOne7 has now missed a total of three events that have taken place in the US; MLG Columbus, SXSW Monster Energy Invitational and now The Summit.

A replacement for Cloud 9 in The Summit's US qualifiers will be announced in the near future.
