In a recent interview with Screenrant about the new movie Extraction, Chris Hemsworth and director Sam Hargrave touched on the topic of the Hulk Hogan biopic in development.
Screenrant asked the Avengers star about how the biopic was going and which part of Hogan’s personality he was excited for fans to see. However, it seems that the biopic isn’t very far along in production, with Hemsworth not even having seen a script yet.

Now Playing: Chris Hemsworth Will Play Hulk Hogan In Biopic - GameSpot Universe News Update
“Look, I haven't read a script yet. I know it's being written now and worked on. I know very little about that. It's sort of in the process now,” Hemsworth answered. “I'm just fascinated by that world, and I think they're pretty keen to show a side of the world that people haven't seen before. I'm as intrigued as you are.”
The film is set to be directed by Todd Philips and is being written by Scott Silver, who previously worked on the DC Comics movie Joker. Michael Sugar and Bradley Cooper are producing the biopic under their banner Joint Effort.
Hogan has had an interesting career, with decades of his life dedicated to various forms of wrestling, his own cartoon series, and the eventual rise of Hulkmania. The biopic will have plenty of source material to pick from, and it will be interesting to see just what makes it in.
A year on since announcement, there is no still set release date for the film.
