Ubisoft has confirmed that watercolour adventure Child of Light will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U in 2014.
Players will take the role of Aurora, who must restore the kingdom of Lemuria by recapturing three sources of light and defeating an evil Queen.
The game will feature an active time battle system, with Aurora joined in combat by firefly ally Igniculus. Another player can also play as Igniculus.
Game director Patrick Plourde, who previously directed Far Cry 3, unveiled the game at GDC Europe 2013 in August.
Child of Light is powered by the UbiArt Framework, the same engine behind Rayman Legends.
