Capcom Wants Their Nintendo Switch Titles To Feel Different Than PS4/X1 Games
Capcom Wants Their Nintendo Switch Titles To Feel Different Than PS4/X1 Games-November 2024
Nov 6, 2024 2:27 AM

The new Nintendo console, the Nintendo Switch, promises to shake up the console gaming space with its unique hyrbid nature that will allow players to bring their games wherever they go. This novel concept will require developers to things differently, and it seems like this is the direction Capcom will be going in for their Switch titles.

During the latest financial briefing, Capcom's CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto has touched upon the company's Nintendo Switch support. During the Q&A session, Tsujimoto stated that multiplatform development will be possible for the new Nintendo console, but that's not what Capcom would like to do, as they seek to offer something that will differ from PlayStation 4 and Xbox One titles. Tsujimoto also added that the company is currently in an internal review phase regarding content and features that might be offered in Switch titles, so there are no additional details on the matter as of now.

There's still a lot we don't know about the Nintendo Switch, and it seems like we won't know much more until January, when Nintendo will be revealing more during a special presentation, which will also be livestreamed. Thankfully, we are still managing to learn more about the console, thanks to rumors and leaks. According to the latest ones, the Nintendo Switch dock will not support USB Hard Drives, but it will support Micro SDXC cards up to 128 GB, which shouldn't make storage space much of an issue. Being unconfirmed rumors, we must take everything with a grain of salt until official confirmations come in.

The Nintendo Switch will be released during March 2017 in all regions. We will keep you updated on Nintendo's next console as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
