Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives in a bit over a month, and Activision has provided a first peek at the game’s multiplayer in action. As we’ve heard previously, the game will initially focus on offering remastered versions of all the maps from 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Afghan, Derail, Estate, Favela, Karachi, Highrise, Invasion, Quarry, Rundown, Rust, Scrapyard, Skid Row, Sub Base, Terminal, Underpass, and Wasteland) with new maps coming post-launch.
In addition to the remastered MW2 maps, the trailer features plenty of new skins, weapons, and what looks to be a brief peek at the new Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 map that will be launching shortly after Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives. Based on our brief glimpse, the new Warzone map kind of looks like Verdansk, albeit with a variety of new landmarks, including what looks to be a rocket launch pad. Doesn’t look too groundbreaking, but a lot of people still like Verdansk, so may as well give the people what they want. In addition to the new multiplayer trailer, Activision has revealed which maps will be playable during the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III open beta. They include…
