Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players on PC can now find out whether their rig can handle Activision's upcoming first-person shooter. The full system requirements are outlined below.
There are five settings levels outlined by developer Treyarch,, ranging from minimum and recommended settings to competitive and ultra ray tracing capabilities.
Nvidia's new line of GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards are not required across the board. However, they are recommended if you want to play on higher settings with ray tracing enabled or ultra ray tracing capabilities turned on. Otherwise, players will older graphics cards--like the Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or Radeon HD 7950--can get by on minimum settings.
It's also important to note that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PC will take up a substantial amount of hard drive space. At launch, the game requires at least 50 GB for multiplayer and 175 GB for all game modes. Upping the graphical settings requires more storage space, with ultra ray tracing capabilities necessitating at least 250 GB of free space on the hard drive.
Alongside the PC system requirements, Activision shared a brand-new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The trailer, below, was captured on a PC equipped with Nvidia's GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, which started releasing in mid-September. The trailer highlights some of the enhanced features PC players can take advantage of if their rig is powerful enough, including uncapped frame rates, ambient occlusion, and multi-monitor support.
