Disney's game publishing subsidiary, Buena Vista Games, solidified an agreement for distribution of its titles in Japan today. The deal, signed with D3 Publisher, will bring Buena Vista products based on movies The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Disney's Chicken Little to Japanese gamers beginning this summer. The agreement covers the distribution of games for all platforms.
D3 Publisher is a Japanese distribution and development house that publishes and markets games for numerous consoles and handhelds. The company was founded in 1992 and is known for its The Simple 1000 series of games for children. The company has also published a number of children's titles based on the Yu Yu Hakusho anime series and the Hello Kitty franchise.
Buena Vista Games announced last week that it would begin publishing its own games in Europe and that it would be establishing a new development studio in Vancouver, Canada.
