Majesco has today announced that it plans to release BloodRayne 2 for the PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox in October next year. Currently in development at Terminal Reality, the game will once again see players assuming the titular role of a half-human half-vampire anti-heroine, who must now hunt down the wicked siblings who are continuing the legacy of their dead father Kagan.
"The tremendous success and popularity of BloodRayne has secured a film deal and helped establish BloodRayne herself as one of today's most thrilling new game personalities," said Ken Gold, vice president of marketing at Majesco. "BloodRayne 2 improves upon the original game in all respects and will deliver a much bigger, more action-packed sequel that elevates the franchise to a whole new level."
Like the original BloodRayne, the emphasis in the sequel will be on acrobatic combat and supernatural powers. The game will introduce new environments within a large modern city, new supernatural powers, and new bosses. We'll bring you more information on BloodRayne 2 as soon as it becomes available.
