BlizzCon 2023 Schedule is Heavy on World of Warcraft and Overwatch 2, Light on Diablo IV-October 2024
Oct 28, 2024 7:29 PM

After several years as an online-only experience, or canceled outright, due to COVID-19 and controversies at the studio, BlizzCon is back to full force this year. BlizzCon 2023 kicks off on November 3 both in-person and online and Blizzard has released their schedule of panels. You can check out the schedule, below.

  November 3

  11AM – Opening Ceremony1:30PM – World of Warcraft: What’s Next2:30PM – Overwatch 2: Deep Dive3:30PM – World of Warcraft Classic: What’s Next4:30PM – Hearthstone: What’s Next5:30PM – Warcraft RumblingsNovember 4

12PM – World of Warcraft: Deep Dive1:30PM – Overwatch 2: What’s Next2:30PM – Diablo IV Campfire Chat4:45PM – Community Night6:15PM – LE SSERAFIM AppearanceAs you can see, it seems like World of Warcraft will be the belle of the ball at BlizzCon, with three different panels. Blizzard will almost certainly reveal the next expansions for World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft Classic, and there are also whispers of a possible console port and other things. Also, let's not forget, it was also recently announced that Warcraft co-creator Chris Metzen was returning to lead WoW forward. Overwatch 2 should also be well-represented with a couple of panels and a K-pop performance, with new seasonal content and perhaps something more to be revealed.

One game largely missing from the proceedings is the recently-released Diablo IV, which is represented by a single day-2 panel. Heck, it isn’t even a full-on panel, it’s just a “fireside chat,” which is where Blizzard usually discusses things of lesser importance. There was some hope that we’d get a glimpse of Diablo IV’s first big expansion at BlizzCon, but that’s looking unlikely at this point.

Of course, there’s always the chance Blizzard has some surprises up their sleeves that they haven’t hinted at with this schedule in order to maintain the surprise. Could we finally get a first glimpse of that new Blizzard survival game? Or maybe they’ve got another remaster in the works? We’ll have to wait and see.

BlizzCon 2023 runs from November 3 to November 4. What do you think? Will you be tuning into the show? What things do you hope Blizzard reveals? Will we get any moments that will live in infamy ala “do you guys not have phones?”
