Blizzard community manager Ythisens has responded to questions from the World of Warcraft community about the development of WoW Classic.
Since the official announcement of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft vanilla server option back in November of last year, the publisher has been rather quiet about the game’s development state. Blizzard did reveal that they plan to use patch 1.12 as foundation for the game, and we know that Classic is arriving this Summer, but news about the highly anticipated Vanilla server option has been rather scarce.
From the looks of it, Blizzard won’t be revealing any additional information until they actually have something to share. While Classic’s development is far from easy, Ythisens confirmed that it is moving along.
“The development is definitely moving along but it’s a complicated process and I don’t have any specific details to share at this point”, the community manager wrote on the official World of Warcraft forums. “We know you’d like to have a Q&A and a variety of things answered, but we’d prefer to have concrete answers to give you guys or new information. I’m personally very opposed to doing a Q&A for the sake of doing it without saying anything new. For everyone’s sake that’s just the better choice when it comes to these types of things.”
We’ll update as soon as we learn more about Blizzard’s Vanilla server option for World of Warcraft.
