Sharks have long been one of cinema's scariest natural villains, from Jaws to Deep Blue Sea and the upcoming Jason Statham thriller Meg. Later this month Blake Lively will face a Great White all alone in The Shallows. A stylish final trailer has arrived--check it out below:
The film is directed Jaume Collet-Serra, who helmed the Liam Neeson action movies Run All Night and Non-Stop. Check out previous trailers for The Shallows here and here.
In a recent interview with EW, Lively revealed that it was her husband Ryan Reynold's previous film experiences that inspired her to take on this role. "My husband did a movie called Buried and that was one of the reasons why I wanted to take on this movie so much," she said. "I know how tough that was for him and how rewarding it was.
"It was terrifying and one of the most vulnerable things you can do but you gotta do it, right?"
The Shallows hits theaters on June 29, 2016.
