A documentary about NBA superstar Steph Curry is in the works, and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will produce it. The film is called "Underrated," and it's coming from movie studio A24.
The movie will focus on Curry's many achievements, including his time playing with the Davidson Wildcats in college where he led his team on a wild run to the Elite Eight in March Madness. He was drafted into the NBA in 2009 and is currently one of the best and most-talked about players.
Peter Nicks (Homeroom) is set to direct Underrated, according to Variety. As for A24, which is financing the movie, it's just the latest big-name project at the studio, following Lady Bird, Uncut Gems, and Minari. A24 was also behind the new Val Kilmer documentary, Val.
As for Coogler, he produced this year's Space Jam: A New Legacy. He's also lined up to direct Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is slated for release in 2022.
