Activision's Call of Duty smashed entertainment records last year when it was released, and it continues to dominate Aussie sales, claiming the top spot during the 2011 half-one sales, according to data tracker NPD Group Australia.
Smashing sales and smashing windows goes hand in hand with Call of Duty: Black Ops. Pokemon Black and White brought up the second and third spots, respectively. The Aussie-developed L.A. Noire managed to take out the fourth place, despite being released only a few weeks before the end of the January 1-June 31 tracking period. Crysis 2 closed out in fifth place, with AFL Live and Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars coming up behind in sixth and seventh. The oldest game in the list--Wii Fit Plus--sits at number eight, proving that the two-year-old fitness game still has appeal. Towards the bottom of the list, The Sims 3 comes in at number nine, while Killzone 3 closed out the list, claiming 10th place.
