Amazon is dropping prices on a wide range of board games for Black Friday, but few discounts are as enticing as the ones offered for Pandemic and its many spin-offs. The strategic cooperative game is now listed for just $30 (down from $40), which is one of the better prices we've seen this year.

　　Pandemic tasks you and up to four other players with eradicating a variety of different diseases before they sweep across the globe and do irreparable harm to humanity. Each player is given a different occupation--and properly utilizing your skills and working with your team is the only way to emerge victorious. It's a fairly simple game to learn, but with so many nuances and different gameplay scenarios, it'll take you years to master.

　　If you've already played the base game, consider looking at one of the many spin-offs on sale at Amazon. This includes World of Warcraft and Cthulhu-themed board games--both of which follow similar rules to the base game but offer their own unique twists (and aesthetics).

　　The cheapest game on sale is Pandemic: Fall of Rome, as it's just $29 for Black Friday. It differs slightly from your standard Pandemic games, but still relies on heavy cooperation to keep your civilization safe.
